Contract Terms

This agreement is entered into on the effective date of the strike by and between the Alberta Legal Aid Workers Union, hereinafter referred to as the “Union”, and the Alberta Legal Aid Services, hereinafter referred to as the “Services”.

Whereas, the Union has instituted a strike action in response to the Services` refusal to negotiate on matters pertaining to fair wages, working conditions, and employee benefits, and

Whereas, the Services maintain that they have acted in accordance with the Alberta Employment Standards Code and are open to constructive dialogue with the Union to resolve the impasse, and
